What is a composite door?

How can I best choose my options?

When there is so much choice on offer it can be difficult to decide exactly what options you'd like. We are quite happy to advise you based on your requirements to configure your door. Get in touch to arrange a quote so we can take some measurements and explain what's on offer.

How long will the installation take?

Fitting should usually be completed within one day. If there are any complications which may mean a longer fitting process, such as access issues, we will discuss these with you beforehand and plan around them.

Can you take away my old door?

If you would prefer not to have the inconvenience of disposing of your old door, after the fitting of your new one, please let us know before the fitting day and we would be happy to help.

Do I need any special power requirements for the electric operation?

No, the remote control unit can simply be plugged into a normal 3-pin plug socket.

How do you open the door in the event of power failure?

All of our roller doors come complete with an internal manual override system, which allows you in the event of power failure to manually wind the door up and down from inside the garage. If there is no other access door into your garage, then we can supply as an optional extra, an external lockable manual override system which would allow you to wind the door up manually from the outside of your garage.

How far away from my door will the transmitter work?

This will depend on the area in which you live and how many strong radio signals there are in the area but typically you can expect the handset to work up to 50 metres away.

How much headroom do I need above my opening?

300mm would be ideal, although if the door is ordered with a fascia, you can get away with less headroom, providing your opening height is adequate.
